A Call to Lead

After 25 years serving Regnum Christi in an executive capacity at the territorial level, Cathie Zentner will be retiring in May 2024. 


In anticipation of this, the Territorial Directive College (TDC) is actively seeking a successor to replace her as the TDC Delegate. The new TDC Delegate will be assuming this territorial leadership role at the perfect time to help lead Regnum Christi into its next phase of growth and development. The TDC is asking qualified Regnum Christi members to consider applying for the role. 


Role & Responsibilities

The TDC Delegate is a position appointed by the Territorial Directive College of the Regnum Christi Federation to serve under its direction as its delegate in leading the operations of the Regnum Christi Federation and enabling the Territorial Directive College to fulfil the Federation’s purpose. The responsibilities of the TDC Delegate are outlined in #4.3 of the Regulations for the North American Territory of the Regnum Christi Federation.

In summary, these responsibilities include:

  • Lead the RC North American Territory with delegated authority overseen by the RC NA Territorial Directive College.
  • Facilitate the development of the RC North American Territorial Strategy.
  • Drive the execution of the action plan supporting the RC North American Territorial Strategy.
  • Lead the Mission Support Team and enable it to fulfill its purpose.
  • Provide leadership to locality directors to enable them to lead the local mission.
  • Manage the affairs of territorial governance; and
  • Ensure legal compliance and the financial viability of the mission.


Job Qualifications

In order to fill this leadership position, the TDC is looking for candidates who can offer many of the following skills and professional experience:

  • A Regnum Christi member who embodies and models the Regnum Christi charism.
  • Solid awareness of the internal and external environments of Regnum Christi and the Catholic Church.
  • Organizational leadership experience, with the ability to lead with courage and humility, and the skills that span envisioning, engaging/inspiring, empowering/energizing, enabling, and executing.
  • Mastery in communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic skills, with the ability to foresee needs, think strategically through options, weigh information carefully, and make wise choices, bringing issues to closure.
  • Strong team management and talent development skills, with proven emotional intelligence when dealing with people and situations.
  • Resilience in the face of challenges and adversity, and ability to maintain focus amidst distractions.
  • Proven financial and business acumen.

Job Requirements
  • The role is a full-time, remote position. Travel for onsite meetings is required on a monthly basis. Regular business hours are based on eastern time.
  • A salary commensurate with the responsibility and experience will be negotiated.
  • The role begins officially May 1, 2024, with a two-month onboarding process beginning March 1, 2023.

TDC Delegate Job Description

#4.3 of the Regulations for the North American Territory of the Regnum Christi Federation.



The TDC Delegate is directly accountable to the Territorial Directive College for successfully executing the approved strategic plan aimed at fulfilling the purpose and furthering the mission of the Regnum Christi Federation in the North America territory. 



Responsibilities of the TDC Delegate include the following: 


  1. Coordinate development and oversee execution of the North American Territorial Strategy and its associated annual plans and budgets. 
  2. Build and direct a territorial work office (Mission Support Office) to provide the leadership, services and support to localities and RC lay members. 
  3. Review and approve locality plans and budgets in line with the territory’s approved strategy for the projection of Regnum Christi in the territory.
  4. Supervise and attentively accompany RC Directors and RC Local Colleges, according to the principle of subsidiarity. 
  5. Monitor the living out of the mission across the territory allocating territorial resources and support accordingly and proposing adjustments to the strategy, plan or budgets as needed. 
  6. Contribute to the promotion of the mission and strategic vision for Regnum Christi in the territory following a communications plan.  
  7. Contribute to building good relationships with the ecclesial hierarchy by working collaboratively with the leadership of the federated institutions
  8. Establish and monitor the territory commissions needed to stimulate the development of the common mission and facilitate collaboration across the federated institutions. 
  9. Ensure adherence to safe environment, corporate, legal and financial management and reporting requirements associated with living out the mission in the territory. 
  10. Oversee and ensure the long-term financial viability of the Regnum Christi Federation. 
  11. Communicate effectively with the Territorial Directive College and the Territorial Plenary Council, providing all information necessary for the college to function properly and make informed decisions. 
  12. Work closely with the president of the Territorial Directive College to organize and hold effective college and Plenary Council meetings. 
  13. Liaise with the leadership of the federated institutions to collaborate in the assignment process, address personnel issues, seeking always to respect their autonomy while preserving unity and promoting ongoing communion. 
  14. Collaborate with the leadership of the federated institutions to promote Regnum Christi and build good ecclesial relationships. 
  15. Liaise with the office of General Directive College, providing information requested and coordinating territorial participation in international projects. 
  16. Contribute to specific projects as needed in approved plan.



The TDC Delegate is appointed by and reports directly to the Territorial Directive College to serve the Federation at the territorial level. Reporting to the TDC Delegate are the Territorial Administrator, the individual Mission Support Team directors, RC Directors and RC Colleges. 


As appropriate, the TDC Delegate may delegate, with the consent of the Territorial Directive College, faculties to another RC member for a period of time not exceeding the TDC Delegate’s term of office. This delegation must be promulgated in writing to RC members.

Alex Kucera


Alex Kucera has lived in Atlanta, GA, for the last 46 years. He is one of 9 children, married to his wife Karmen, and has 3 girls, one grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. Alex joined Regnum Christi in 2007. Out of the gate, he joined the Helping Hands Medical Missions apostolate and is still participating today with the Ghana Friendship Mission.

In 2009, Alex was asked to be the Atlanta RC Renewal Coordinator for the Atlanta Locality to help the RC members with the RC renewal process. Alex became a Group Leader in 2012 for four of the Atlanta Men’s Section Teams and continues today. Running in parallel, in 2013, Alex became a Team Leader and shepherded a large team of good men.

Alex was honored to be the Atlanta Mission Coordinator between 2010 to 2022 (12 years), coordinating 5-8 Holy Week Mission teams across Georgia. He also created and coordinated missions at a parish in Athens, GA, for 9 years. Alex continues to coordinate Holy Week Missions, Advent Missions, and Monthly missions at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.

From 2016 to 2022, Alex also served as the Men’s Section Assistant in Atlanta. He loved working with the Men’s Section Director, the Legionaries, Consecrated, and Women’s Section leadership teams.

Alex is exceptionally grateful to the Legionaries, Consecrated, and many RC members who he’s journeyed shoulder to shoulder, growing his relationship with Christ and others along the way. He knows that there is only one way, that’s Christ’s Way, with others!
