Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi Elect New General Government

The Society of Apostolic Life of the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi has been holding their General Assembly in Rome since January 29th. As part of the Assembly’s work, they have elected a new General Director and a new General Council.

With gratitude to Jorge López for the sacrificial and generous service with which he guided them during the past six years as general director, and to Alberto García, who also concludes his work in the general government, they announce the election of:

General Director – Félix Gómez Rueda, Mexican, 54
First Counselor – Cristian Názer, Chilean, 51 years old
Second Counselor – Fernando Rincón Gallardo, Mexican, 41 years old
Third Counselor – Guillermo Campillo, Mexican, 36 years old.
Fourth Councilor – Javier Bendek, Chilean, 37 years old
Fifth Counselor – Bernardo Pérez, Mexican, 48 years old

In addition, the Assembly has elected their general administrator, Mario Olivieri, Mexican, 56.

General Director – Félix Gómez Rueda

Felix Gomez was born on February 9, 1966 in Madrid, Spain. From an early age he lived in Mexico City. He consecrated his life in Regnum Christi on August 27, 1989. He was a student for a year at Dublin Oak Academy, and finished his high school studies at the Cumbres Institute in Mexico City. He is an Industrial Engineer, has a master’s degree in Economics and Business and a master’s degree in Finance. He has also studied for a master’s degree in philosophy and a PhD in Leadership and Management of Institutions of Higher Education from Anáhuac México University. He was a member of ECYD, and a lay member of Regnum Christi. He also participated in various projects such as Generación Empresarial, Gente Nueva, and business congresses, among others. He has served as the territorial administrator of the territories of Mexico and Monterrey, and as a councilor on the Governing Board of the Regnum Christi University Network. Since 2017, he has been working at the Anáhuac México University as Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, and he has been a general councilor of the Regnum Christi Lay Consecrated Men. He is 54 years old.

First Councilor – Cristian Názer

Christian was born on August 12, 1968 in Illapel, Chile, and he consecrated his life on January 15, 1995. He was a Regnum Christi missionary in 1993 in Mexico City. He is physician, and received a degree in philosophy at the Regina Apostolorum Athenaeum as well as a master’s degree in philosophy at the Anáhuac México University. He has completed specialized studies in bioethics from University of the Sacro Cuore in Rome. He was general secretary of Anáhuac México University’s Southern Campus, vice chancellor of the Anáhuac México University Northern Campus, and president of the Superior Council of the Finis Terrae University. Since March 2013, he has been serving as the chancellor of this institution. Since 2012 he has been a general councilor of the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi, and since 2019 he has been a member of the Territorial Directive College of Chile and Argentina. He is 51 years old.

Second Counselor – Fernando Rincón Gallardo

Born on May 14, 1978 in Mexico City, Fernando Rincón consecrated his life on September 15, 1996. He is an Industrial Engineer and has a master’s degree in human capital development from Anáhuac México University. He was a formator of the Center of Formation in Mexico, delegate for educational institutions in the territories of Monterrey, Chile and Argentina, deputy director of the Irish Institute of Monterrey, national director of the apostolates of Regnum Christi in Brazil, director of ECYD in Monterrey and director of the community of Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi in Monterrey. Since 2013, he has been a general counselor of the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi, and since 2018 he has served as director of the community of Rome. Since 2017 he has been responsible for the area of ​​apostolates and youth sections in the General Directorate’s “Life and mission of Regnum Christi” area of the Regnum Christi Federation. He is 41 years old.

Third Counselor – Guillermo Campillo

Guillermo Campillo was born on January 15, 1984 in Hermosillo, Mexico and consecrated his life on August 15, 2004. He served with Regnum Christi Mission Corps in 2003. He is an Industrial Engineer and has studied Religious Sciences at the Anáhuac México University. He has specialized in accompaniment, spiritual direction and vocation ministry, and has worked in vocational promotion in Mexico. Since 2015 he has been the territorial delegate for ECYD in the territory of Monterrey. Since 2014, he has been a territorial counselor of the Territory of Mexico and the United States. He is 36 years old.

Fourth Councilor – Javier Bendek, Chilean, 37 years old

Javier Bendek was born on August 22, 1982 in Santiago, Chile and consecrated his life on November 28, 2009. He holds degrees as an industrial civil engineer and a bioprocess engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and has also studied philosophy at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, and theology in the Anáhuac México University. He worked in the Regnum Christi youth section in Santiago de Chile, was the delegate of the territorial director for apostolate in the Territory of Chile and Argentina, and has worked in the central commission for the revision of the Statutes and in the pastoral area of ​​the General Directorate of the Regnum Christi Federation. Since 2018, he has been a territorial counselor for the Territory of Europe and Chile, since 2017 he has been vice chancellor of integral formation at the Finis Terrae University, and since 2018 he has served as a delegate for the educational institutions in the Territory of Chile and Argentina. He is 37 years old.

Fifth Counselor – Bernardo Pérez, Mexican, 48 years old

Bernardo Pérez was born on November 26, 1971 in Mexico City and consecrated his life on September 29, 1991. He is an Industrial Engineer from Anáhuac México University, and has a degree in philosophy at the Regina Apostolorum Athenaeum and also a degree in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. He was general dean of discipline and deputy director of Dublin Oak Academy, a formator for Regnum Christi Lay Consecrated Men, director of administration and finance at the Mayab University, has supported the territorial administration of the Territory of Mexico and at the general level, served as director of the Regnum Christi youth section in León, and as a youth formator in Chile. He has also served as director of the formation center of the Regnum Christi Lay Consecrated Men, director of the community of Rome, and territorial director of the RC Mission Corps in the territories of Mexico and Monterrey. Since 2012 he has been a general counselor of the Regnum Christi Consecrated Lay Men. He is 48 years old.

General Administrator – Mario Olivieri

Mario Olivieri was born on May 8, 1963 in Mexico City and consecrated his life on October 1, 1982. He has a degree in Management from the Anáhuac México University and has an MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked in the territorial administration of the Territory of Mexico, and since 2012 he has been working in the general administration of Regnum Christi. Since 2013 he has been general administrator of the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi.

Alex Kucera

Atlanta

Alex Kucera has lived in Atlanta, GA, for the last 46 years. He is one of 9 children, married to his wife Karmen, and has 3 girls, one grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. Alex joined Regnum Christi in 2007. Out of the gate, he joined the Helping Hands Medical Missions apostolate and is still participating today with the Ghana Friendship Mission.

In 2009, Alex was asked to be the Atlanta RC Renewal Coordinator for the Atlanta Locality to help the RC members with the RC renewal process. Alex became a Group Leader in 2012 for four of the Atlanta Men’s Section Teams and continues today. Running in parallel, in 2013, Alex became a Team Leader and shepherded a large team of good men.

Alex was honored to be the Atlanta Mission Coordinator between 2010 to 2022 (12 years), coordinating 5-8 Holy Week Mission teams across Georgia. He also created and coordinated missions at a parish in Athens, GA, for 9 years. Alex continues to coordinate Holy Week Missions, Advent Missions, and Monthly missions at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.

From 2016 to 2022, Alex also served as the Men’s Section Assistant in Atlanta. He loved working with the Men’s Section Director, the Legionaries, Consecrated, and Women’s Section leadership teams.

Alex is exceptionally grateful to the Legionaries, Consecrated, and many RC members who he’s journeyed shoulder to shoulder, growing his relationship with Christ and others along the way. He knows that there is only one way, that’s Christ’s Way, with others!
